MetalWorks LLC, a leading steel component manufacturer for service station canopies, was acquired in an all-cash transaction by Olympic Steel, Inc., a leading national metals service center. MetalWorks will be a part of Olympic Steel’s carbon flat-rolled business segment.
The purchase by Olympic Steel furthers Olympics’ continued growth in manufactured metal products, a key component of its diversified M&A strategy. MetalWorks represents the eighth acquisition Olympic has completed in the past seven years.
MetalWorks was founded in 2003, and is based in Oakwood, GA. MetalWorks is a leading fabricator of steel and aluminum components for use in the service station, boat docks, big box, and fast-food canopy markets. MetalWorks also produces steel components for a variety of solar installation and other markets.
