Key Achievements:
• Chief Executive Officer for an operating subsidiary of Pioneer Corporation (NYSE) and Dresser Industries with annual revenues of $200 million. Company became one of the largest multi-line distributors of construction and mining equipment in the Southwest with 14 plant locations in Texas with 600 employees. The business was comprised of parts and service to support the sales of new and rental equipment for companies operating in the mining, oilfield service, upstream oil and gas, petrochemical, power, highway construction and agricultural product sectors. The company maintained a large rental fleet of construction and heavy lift cranes.
• Chief Executive Officer of a family-owned agribusiness holding company with interests in cattle feedlots (capacity of 200,000 cattle), animal feeds and veterinarian supplies grain storage and food processing producing combined revenues of over $300 million.
• President of a large privately held food processing company with over $125 million in revenues providing fresh food products delivered daily using a fleet of company owned trucks and drivers for store door deliveries.
• Participated and lead numerous transactions involving senior and junior debt and equity for middle market companies and various projects to support growth through mergers and acquisitions for family offices and institutional funds. Represented and advised on numerous private placement syndications raises to support organic growth, and restructurings and for commercial real estate ground up development of multi-family units and self-storage facilities, and capital for exploration and production of oil and gas.
Most recently, Richard was an executive with GE Capital charged with providing debt and equity capital to support acquisitions, re-capitalizations, and restructurings for companies backed by private sponsors with transaction sizes ranging from $20 million to $200 million. Sectors included oil-field service, food manufacturing, distribution, restaurants, manufacturing, contracting and commercial real estate.
In 2005, Richard formed Overton Capital Corp. to make and manage alternative investments in upstream oil and gas assets and develop income producing real estate projects. He continues in his capacity of President of this investment company.
After graduating from Texas Christian University with a B.A. in Finance, Richard received a Masters’ degree with a concentration in international finance from the Thunderbird Graduate School of Global Management. He is a Registered Representative with FINRA, holding the Series 7, 79, 24 and 63 licenses and also holds a State of Texas real estate broker’s license.
