Ryan joined Allegiance Capital in 2019 with experience in finance, oil and gas, transportation, electrical/distribution, and the U.S. Navy. Leveraging his experience in Private Equity, Ryan brings a strong foundational understanding of buy-side activities.
Prior to joining Allegiance, Ryan worked as a Private Equity Associate for ZeoCap Partners, an energy focused Private Equity firm. During his tenure at ZeoCap Partners, Ryan played a key role in all facets of the business to include: Private Equity fund accounting, tax procedures (Schedule K-1’s), auditing procedures, preparing quarterly financials, preparing capital call notices and distributions for investors, writing investment memo’s, fundraising, creating pitch books, budgeting and forecasting, valuation analysis, managing a group of 20 to 50 Texas A&M students whom worked for the firm in analytical roles, etc.
Ryan also worked as an LWD/MWD Field Engineer at Baker Hughes (NYSE: BKR), a Fortune 500 oilfield service company. He programmed the Measurement While Drilling tools, logged the data while drilling, and sent out surveys to clients that detailed the inclination and azimuth of the wellbore and maintained strict adherence to the drilling engineer’s wellbore drilling plan.
Ryan served in the US Navy for 6 years as an Air Traffic Controller stationed onboard the USS John C. Stennis and was stationed at Naval Air Station Sigonella in Sigonella, Sicily. While deployed to the Straits of Hormuz, Ryan was able to experience the full breadth of his military experience, which included 24-hour carrier flight operations to assist the militaries of Iraq and Afghanistan in fighting terrorism.
Ryan holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Strategy from Southern Methodist University, a Master of Science in Aeronautics/Aerospace from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Bachelor of Applied Science and Technology from Thomas Edison State College.
