Prior to joining Allegiance Capital as head of the firm’s Chicago office Pat was a General Partner in a family office-based venture capital and private equity business. In addition to having founded and managed BlueStar Ventures, L.P., an early stage technology venture capital firm, Pat has held senior investment banking positions at First Chicago (now JP Morgan), The Chicago Corporation, and ABN AMRO (a $500 billion Dutch Bank), where he managed the firm’s Chicago investment banking office.
Pat’s nearly three decades of diverse corporate finance experience include having invested in nearly twenty private companies with significant experience as a member of numerous corporate Boards of Directors, including Chairmanship responsibilities. This, combined with deep-rooted family business experience, gives him a unique perspective into the matters that concern private sellers while his private equity experience provides insight into the buyer perspective.
Pat earned an MBA in Finance and Management Policy from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
